An Aspie guy, in an NT world, tryna make a livin'
Hi All,
A dear friend mentioned this forum to me, so I thought I would join.
I am 45 (Official Dx 2013, self Dx 2011) I separated from my wife in 2012 after 25 years together and nearly 20 married.
I have 2 sons, one being assessed for AS right now (he was the catalyst for me researching and self-diagnosing, as I believe is quite common.)
I am from Melbourne Australia, I was in the Australian Army for 9 years and have been continuously employed in the field of radio & telecommunications for 27 years.
I am a member of a local Australian Asperger's forum where I have contributed nearly 1300 posts in the past 2 years, but it is very quiet there and I have not posted there much in the past 6 months.
In this local forum I am quite open and honest (it is in my nature) and if I feel safe enough I expect it would be no different here.
I look forward to being a part of an active forum and hope to meet, converse and correspond with anyone who would like to.
Don't be a stranger
