I'm Little Tigger

I never grew up because it is not possible.

Can't date.
Can't grow up.
Can't do growedup things except electronics.

But I can play with my hotwheels and other
toys.

Don't worry Little Tigger, don't grow up if you want if it pleases you and if it makes you more comfortable. If I had the choice, I would not had grown up and became more skeptical on the world I live in.

By the way, welcome to Aspies Central!

Thank you.

All I can be is who I am (I know, silly statement)
I did try being a growedup before, and totally boogared
it all up, over and over until I just had to say enuf of that
rubbish. So I took "adulthood" and bunged it down the
loo and flushed 294 times.

In spit (hocccck ptoo!) sorry had to make gross joke)
of this that I can't be a growedup, I am still a Nerd
and proud of being one. My Nerd is electronics.

Anyone else here who's Nerd is in electronics?

Ooooooh. awesome.

I'm more into the gadget side of the electronics, of the HDTV, 4g mobiles (which i can't wait till they come over here), the latest mobile phones and so on.

I even occasionally watch the gadget show.

You from the UK?

Not from UK, but I think I belong there more than
I do the US. I am told I am non-Americanian or something
like that, I don't like the popular things, hamburgers, pizza,
stuff like that, (And I absolutely HATE ICE in my soda.)
I like squid, octopus, manicotti, anchovies, and other
weird foods. I loved my grandma's Haggis!!!! Good lord could she
ever cook up a killer haggis. I miss Grandma's haggis so bad I
cood cry. Grandma was Irish but she loved to cook Scottish
style as well, and German style and I think some things she
did Swedish style and some early American colonial also.

That was Grandma on mums side of the family.

Grandma on Dads side cood do a kickbut bubble and squeaik.

I am a US citizen, but that is all. I'm not "American",
unless you count the little pinch of Cherokee I have in me
then that is all the Americanian I am my family is mostly
English.

I would like the 'gadgets' better if they were better repairable,
such as cellular telephones, you try to repair them when they
bust and the break part! I just hate them they make them
so lazy, I think most designers are drunk when they sit down
at the draughting board. If I'm going to pay ?110 (aprox. $220 usd)
for a cel phone it better last me at least 10 years.

yilkes! sorry to go on so long.

Ahh... Irish, we have another Irish person and we both worked as a team to develop this site. :D

I always thought that I would never really fit in London very much, but then again from where I live, there are mixed variety of people who lives in London which is a really good thing.

As for mobile phone companies and phone manufacturers , they ain't too lazy with the design, they actually work pretty hard to actually get the target audience to actually want the product and also for them to make a heck of alot of money and make the buyers happy.

The disadvantages about them is that, not all of them will last you 10 years, but if they did, Id be amazed, because I know the old Nokia that I have still survived for all these years and its still here today.

As for my food style, I would just eat anything wrong something healthy to something junk and I wouldn't really care about it, as long as I'm not hungry and I'm satisfied.

Don't worry about making long posts, its actually a good thing for those who loves reading and it does actually make it seem pretty interesting. :H

I thougt its just the uk that includes NE? I thought Britain was just england scotland and wales. that's what we were told I. school years ago i think. I just checked and yes if you live east of Ireland and northwest of France you are british if you live in northern irland it is incorrect to say you are British you are a member of the united kindon of Britain and northern Ireland. that's the full name of the uk. you are the second half of the uk full name so no part of Britain so there isn't a way unless born in England, wales or scotland that you can be British, sorry but that's fact.

I have no links with the UK or the US other than that the place I live in was once governed (some say colonized) by the UK for almost one hundred and fourty years or so.

But one thing, I do not feel belonged in my native Singapore because I just find that I can't fit into the mindset of my own society. That's why I am really thrilled to be here on Aspies Central, because at least, I do feel belonged here.

Time for a factual lesson lol

Here's how it goes:

Great Britain (also referred to as the mainland) consists of Scotland, England and Wales.

The United Kingdom (Officially may be shorted to Britain but not Great Britain) consists of Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The British Isles consists of Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.

When Ireland got it's independence from Britain, Northern Ireland opted to remain as part of the UK. The majority of inhabitants in Northern Ireland still want to remain as part of the UK today. A minority do not and hence the formation of terrorist groups such as the IRA, to make Northern Ireland independent by use of terrorist force.

Since Northern Ireland remains as part of the United Kingdom, it's inhabitants are therefore British in nationality. Just in the same way that a Scottish, English or Welsh person is also British. You don't have to be born or live in the mainland to hold British nationality. You can be born anywhere within the British Isles (with the exception of the Republic of Ireland which is now independent) and hold British nationality.

BTW I am not having a go at you, so apologies if my post comes across that way. :)

I'm mostly English and Irish with a tiny
pinch of Cherokee, hence my black fur.

I was brought up bty my grandpa who was
about as English as they come, so if I spell
funny or speak funny please pardon me.

I am told I have a mixed accent, people from
the southern US tell me I sound like I'm from
New York, and those from New York tell me I
have a light English sound, not sure what that
means, but I must sound different to most
US citizens.

I turned out differently than most people
as I have light English skin, but black hair and
grey eyes instead of brown eyes and black hair
or grey eyes and brown hair.

I used to have more olive skin but strangely
I turned lighter as I aged, weird.

But the united kingdom is short for united kindom of The united kingdom of great britain and northern ireland i still feel what i learnt in school is correct lol but i understand if im wrong and what i saw n sites and books is wrong because i dont want to start an argument. maybe i just reading the facts you put and the information i read wrongly or learnt it wrongly or you mentioning the british isles bit confusing me lol.

btw if Northern ireland became independent ...would you say your irish as doesn't of people in northern ireland dislike republic of ireland so they might not like being called irish. (this is just a hypothetical question so no facts just whatever lol )

plus im not fussed who is british or what and im a citizen of earth :P i did know the name of that and no not earthling but i forgot. or was it for worldwide i forget.

I wished we can be citizens under a united Earth but it may not be possible within my lifetime (I am 20). Even Scotland and Wales want their independence, so does the Basque and even Taiwan. We are living under one Earth but for now, I have to accept that we all live under different nations for the time being. Hopefully things will change in future as people see that they are better off to work together to solve our common challenges.

I would say I'm Northern Irish before Irish. Some people don't even like the term Northern Irish. However, Ian Paisley (famous politician on the British side) once said that he was an "Irish Unionist". So yeah, it's both complex/controversial.

If you want to make a thread on it, I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.

That's a nice thought to have but in reality it's not practical.

Yeah it's not practical. Look, I live in Singapore. Half of the water I drink from comes from Malaysia and my country does not even have enough arable farmland to grow the crops that give Singaporeans our food. Yet, we Singapore are an independent country. So 'one world united' is really not practical.
