I LOVE languages. I know English French Latin Russian. My native language is Spanish and I use Duolingo but I don't learn a language at all, I allways leave a language and learn another one. I want to learn language, not 3 or 4 at the same time Actually I'm learning Chinese.

I love languages too! I'd love to be a polyglot but I just haven't had the focus in the past. I know English, French, Welsh and a tiny bit of Swedish and have studied latin in the past but I want to learn Norwegian, Spanish, Dutch, Italian, German and maybe Japanese or Korean too. :) I use duolingo and do the same thing. Hopefully I'll be able to learn a language fully soon.

I love languages but can't speak even one fluently. :( Just realized I don't know a language I can't read and write in.

language is one of my biggest struggles-at a push i know english, i know makaton and some BSL ,but i totally respect anyone who can learn multiple verbal/written languages easily, its a very complex thing but it often seems to be aspies who have the capacity for this, not NTs. ;)

Well, 恭喜發財!
My strongest language after English is Mandarin. But I've also studied German, French, Spanish, and Russian in school, and soon I'll start Italian on my own (with Rosetta Stone materials). Not sure why I find language study so satisfying and enjoyable, but I do. :D

I would LOVE to study Russian un school

That's really cool. Foreign languages are not my strong suit. If I was better at them I would totally want to learn them. Maybe it's that I just don't have enough patience.

I use Duolingo in exactly the same way. Can't really settle on either a language or a strategy for learning it. Mandarin is one of mine as well. Speaking is not my favourite thing to do, so my real goal is being able to read and write the language – and listen, which is a form of reading.

I am currently using Duolingo to learn German and French. My main focus is French though. I would love to speak several languages as close to fluent as possible, but I need to learn one at a time. If I get too many languages going, then I won't finish them. I love languages though. I think they are cool.
