Imaginary Imagines

I read Tumblr Imagines and make up the stories in my head, rather than writing them. And I have a few questions:
  • Is it okay if I conjure up all-new universes for these stories to take place in? Even if it sorta defies canon? For Example: My Imagine take on the Marvel universe will take bits and pieces from both the comics and (Mainly) the movies; Heavily altered "universe" of Devilman where there's a happier world, in a sense.
  • Is it okay to sometimes use "altered" canon characters in these imagines as my avatars, of a sort? For Example: A version of Paige Guthrie, who, instead of being called Husk and having the ability to transform her appearance via tearing off her skin, is called Shifter and is basically the X-Men equivalent of Beast Boy.
  • Is it okay if I have mutltiple, different avatars that I use only in specific Imagines?
Also, I need someone to field certain questions about my characters.

You shouldn't be afraid to use your imagination any way you want to. That's how I came up with Kazuma, my Kirby fan character you'll see in my "Fan characters" album, along with a bunch of other characters I haven't posted yet. Not only do I have fan characters, but I made up an entire Kirby Alternate Universe for them, called Neo PopStar: the normal Kirby franchise everyone knows of has simply PopStar, but Neo PopStar is a division of PopStar that was created as a result of three different planet-wide wars between four factions on the planet; after they were over, Light Matter, a new, benevolent being who took on responsibility as the governor of the world, decided that in order to keep the source of peace continuous, and prevent another planet-wide conflict, the world would be divided into twenty-seven Sectors, named alphabetically, the last one being the Zero Sector, where NO ONE is allowed to go, or they will be imprisoned there indefinitely (it was the location of a "Pedestrian Work Site" or PWS, where Kirbies who go there, at all, lost or not, are assigned to work pulling renewable resources from the terraformation of the planet. They do get paid for it, but they can't use the money, Doppels, until their sentence is up, and a Kirby in the Zero Sector can end up working there anywhere from a month to an entire Light Module, which is the period of four years and a month.)

So how do Kirby's end up on Neo PopStar? Well the short answer is, they don't go there themselves; they are born there, but not from having two parents; instead, Marx, the omnipotent demiurge of the actual games, who in this AU is actually neutrally-aligned, takes four hours out of each day on Neo Popstar to send Birthstones to the planet, each of different mineral types, that assign the Kirby that will "Emerge" a specific type of elemental power when they free themselves from their inert state. How it works:

1. Marx creates a Birthstone and tells it to go somewhere on Neo PopStar; it can end up anywhere on N.P. at all, in any kind of biome.

2. The Birthstone lands in whichever biome it wishes to go to, and wherever it lands will determine what kind of elemental power set the Kirby to Emerge will have; but, the element they are given is not determined solely by, say, the terrain the stone lands in, but what kind of energy frequency it gives off and how it affects other Kirbies who interact with that frequency, primarily. So, if they land in the sand of a beach, and they Emerge, they will have the element of water, and earth, but they will also have psychic/telepathic/telekinetic powers as well, because beaches are a common choice for meditation and the clearing of the mind. Vice versa for forests, alpines, mountains, deserts, marshes, swamps, volcanic spires, etc. It is also affected by what's happening to that biome at the time as well, be it a natural disaster or something benevolent; so, if a Kirby emerges in a forest, but during a wildfire, they will actually not only gain the nature and fire elements, but they could potentially combine those two elements together in their powers; these are known as Hybrids.

3. These powers stay with a Kirby forever. And Kirbies age in a threshold of thousands of years, whereas 6,000 years old is a teenager, and 900,000 years old is Dormant Age, or the Kirby equivalent of being a senior. So, you can expect Neo PopStar to be around for a VERY! long time.

There you have it. That's how you use your imagination. Nobody can tell you that it's not right, and you shouldn't do it; of course, you might think something you make up doesn't work, but then, if you give it enough thought you can come up with a way to make it work. A purple dog with nine legs? Maybe he's a shapeshifting spider. Just try!

I do not think there is anyone to ask for stuff just in your head. If you write it down and share it publicly somewhere it may be a different matter.

Also, I feel like I'm defective for my preferene for fantastical-but-still-grounded themes.
