Well, I found a tele-shrink licensed in my state of residence who specializes in PTSD and I liked their face in the photo. I have my first appointment at the end of next week.
CONS
I think I would be more comfortable with someone coming from the social work track. This tele-shink is a nurse practitioner (NP). I tend to prefer NPs to MDs or PAs for medical conditions but I am concerned about mental health. Whatever goes in the medical record is available to a wide audience - ever read one of those release forms the offices in the deep stack of forms one has to sign to access medical treatment?
