Yes, I am interested in neurology. The letters H.M. don't call anything in particular to mind right now. I was "Hippocampus" on an ASD neurology/psychology site because I always thought it would make a good username. And I do like the limbic system.

H.M is a very interesting case where a man had experimental surgery when he was 14 years old to stop his epileptic seizures(it was getting to the point where he had one every couple of minutes), which actually did work, but his hippocampus got damaged and he couldn't keep long term memories and had a short term memory.
It teaches a lot about how the memory works though because for some reason or another he did pick up a few facts like the assassination of John F Kennedy, randomly remembered the therapist(she wasn't a therapist but I forget what she was)'s name who he'd been seeing for at least a couple of decades, like, her forename and he could learn new tasks like how to play tetris(he wouldn't remember learning it as such but got better) and stuff like how to play the guitar.
I think it's called anterograde amnesia...

I'm not very interested in psychology but I read Scientific American MIND which often goes into the neurology. I'm interested in psychology and a basic understanding of neurology has sort of been a byproduct
