Is a Culture of Fear leading us into cruelty?

I am sorry, but I do not understand why people feel justified acting this way. I was raised to seek help in safe places if I was injured or in distress. I can understand calling the police until the situation was sorted, but the lifetime ban from the property, even after it was apparent he wasn't dangerous?? I used to wander into my old high school from time to time, to visit with my teachers. Guess I won't be doing that again.

The school would have been legally obligated to follow rigid security protocols, established by both the school district and likely their liability insurer. Not to follow them to the letter in the event of a loss could prove quite costly for the school. In many states a property owner or civil administrator can still be held liable for the injuries incurred even by a harmless trespasser.

Parents of students can make for some really ornery litigants and constituents when it comes to junior's well-being. And insurers who find out you're cutting corners on your liability can non-renew or even rescind coverage midterm altogether if you violate their underwriting terms. Forcing future premiums in a specialty market to skyrocket.

There is a "culture of fear". Fear of trial lawyers, litigants and insurers. And the occasional pedophile or mass murderer. And last but no least, the fear of being legally liable where the Good Samaritan Act may not legally apply.

IMHO, YES! Yes it is. There seems to be some complacency in "Law", that is supposed to give comfort to the governed. This seems to fly without question regardless of which society is called to accept fault. MOST Countries have legislation to "govern" the sheeple accordingly. Nigerians can preform Muslim genocide on females cutting off sexual organs with rusty machetes LEGALLY covered by Shiria laws. US sanctioned Black Ops can put a "black hooded person" into an actual box without guilt or trial and ship out to some foreign prison indefinitely with no accountability whatsoever LEGALLY. China can steal patents and mass market knockoffs LEGALLY. ECT ECT ECT

It would appear that Laws are only for those stupid enough to follow them or victims who cross these cancerous laws. "Protect the People"??? They aren't people if they are considered "cattle", as a Slave or Women once were, also historical LAW. I wonder if Lincoln was considered a liberator or destroyer of Law?? Well he caught the bullet, so I guess I have MY answer. I fear for all humanity when I see everyone classifying, sub-classifying, labeling and re-labeling, if you don't fit the box please step through the "Reject door to Prison". When did Law become so stupid? Perhaps in mid evil days? The King is ALWAYS right? Right? And if you dare disagree with the King/Queen than OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!

Perhaps the world needs to come back to some ancient knowledge: The Golden Rule. I'm not saying all law desolves personal freedom, only very savvy and manipulative people are ALWAYS trying to find the loophole so they can order the rest around, while being free to neglect the laws they have made. I would like to see some common sense laws that legislatures and people BOTH are held to. Not some sort of nonsensical BS that even I in my dysfunctional mind can see.
