I've decided to give this site another try. I've been thinking about the days that I've originally posted here. This site is a breath of fresh air.
 
I'm glad you came back to return and good to see you back here again on Aspies Central. There are quite a few more familiar places which you may or may not recognise but its a good breath of fresh air like you said. :)

Glad you decided to give this place another try? What made you return?

I was getting disillusioned with the mood of the old site. It's not the same as it used to be. The people there are cliquey, and there's been a lot of negativity around there.

Thats kind of why I left, it was the feel of the place for me. If you read the post where I said I was leaving and told folks that some people have my contact info etc, you will see my reasons for leaving. I know it sounded b*tchier than normal, but I was fed up lol.

I didn't notice any cliqueness, what did you mean? Then again I don't go to all the parts of it. Or didn't. I didn't go to introductions, or that one between random and members only, or any of them in that one block of stuff except for PPR at the bottom etc. I do think I'll miss having a PPR here. I'd like one because I love debating. By cliquey did you mean the same people posting to each other? If thats what you mean, I would say that over time people start to identify others who they either like to debate with or whose opinions they value or who they know they will disagree with and tend to post in the threads that they see them in. People who haven't ever been in a clique will either notice cliques really easily or are blind to them. I think I'm blind to them, I've never really been in one.

I'm glad you're here though. You are one of the posters that I really like. I actually think we lost the "anonymous message to another member" for a little while because of the REALLY MEAN one I put up there to that one guy who was so mean to you in a thread a little while back. If you didn't see it, I ripped him a brand new one and was glad to do it. It was so bad that three people came out of the woodwork and said "was this to me?". Don't worry, I didn't mention your name in it, although I did say that the guy had crossed the line by attacking one of the best posters there who was always supportive of people and then went on to list the reasons why I didn't like him, inferred that his parents weren't married, and just basically said a lot of stuff that was exactly like people would expect when I got mad. That was last year some time, I think.

I don't know if you know how popular you are there. I'm real talkative, as I'm sure you have noticed, and I've talked to a lot of folks there in PM's, on FB, on the phone, etc. We always get around to talking about the forum and the people there, and everybody has said they really like you and wished they could get to know you more. It may be because you mainly just offer support on the serious threads and don't talk a lot in the longer serious discussions and just keep things lighthearted, or you may talk more in the more fun threads that I don't see. But lots of people have told me that they think you seem really nice and interesting and they would like to hear more of your opinions and wish you would discuss issues more. So, please don't think people try to exclude you, you really are probably more popular than you know. Then again, if you have unpopular opinions and you do post them it might backfire, but I don't see that happening with you because you can phrase things in a nonoffensive way and I either can't or can't be bothered to in intense debates.

Either way, I'm glad you're here. I just wish we could get Fnord over here too. I don't have a crush on him or anything, and I don't agree with him on everything by any means, but I like debating with him and he usually gets what I'm trying to say. There are a couple others from there that I'd like to see come over here but I can't think of who they are right now. I'd like Sweetleaf to come too and I disagree with her on more issues than I do Fnord, but I like to read her too. I'd like to see Joe and Kraigch something other and several more people. I'd have to go back and make a list lol, but I'm not doing that. I went back and browsed through to send a few PM's to people with my contact info the other day but that's it.

Ooooh, and I want to tell you what I did when I did that. I'm going to PM you about it. I want your opinion on whether or not I did the right thing. I'll send that PM right now.

Either way, I'm glad to see you back!
 
Hi! I've been periodically gone myself and plan to be more active in the site also. It's a great place! Welcome back :-)
