In the jungle, Jeff Tracy and Parker are fast asleep among the leaves, while Brains, Tin Tin and
Alan roughly play together. Lady Penelope sighs gently seeing her tribe and heads off to a more
peaceful part of the jungle to bond with her baby (me). As soon as she approaches a part of the jungle
where she can be alone, she cradles me in her arms and whispers some reassuring words to me,
telling me that all the love of the jungle can be offered as a sacrifice to me, wheras the love of someone
like her will give her the strength she needs to grow and learn.
Later, Lady Penelope goes to the lake to bathe and play with her little one. She anoints me with
pure, fresh water from the lake, then lies in the water, with me resting on her body like an otter's baby
floating on its mother's belly. Here, she feels an aura of calm where none of the tribe can get in her way
of spending time with her baby, as I am the most precious thing in the world to her.
She lifts me high into the air, and I kick my little legs, splashing water all over my mother, which she
enjoys very much.
Later, Lady Penelope is resting in the shade of a tree with me in her arms. She tells me not to
worry about the rest of the tribe, as soon they'll grow to get a better understanding of me and the place I
belong in the world - a special little girl in not just her heart, but everyone's hearts.
She returns to her gorilla-like nest to snuggle down and fall asleep, and I snuggle down to sleep beside
her, glad to have spent a whole day with her. Lady Penelope sings me a gentle, reassuring lullaby in
Swahili, passed down from generation to generation, to send me into a peaceful sleep at last.
