Just an update...

It’s been quite a while since I’ve been back on here (as usual) but I’ve been enthusiastic about a few things. To start off a few months ago I was accepted into a marine biological internship down in Florida for the summer however I had decided to turn it down two months ago due to financial issues and moving into my first apartment down at the coast of Texas close to where I go to school at. I was told my application would be saved for the next summer to the point I don’t have to re-apply from scratch at all which I thought was amazing.

I got my first car last week which is a Hyundai Elantra and Im so thrilled about that in which I won’t be stuck at the college I go to anymore without a vehicle. This will also give me an ability to give me more free range to participate in different events sponsored from the campus itself or do whatever (that is if I really want to and want to deal with people).

I’m so excited to be moving into my apartment really soon for the next 2 years until I finish my bachelors and a couple more for my masters beyond that I don’t know what I will be doing.

Even though there are some positive things going on I’m not excited I’m retaking my last Chemistry class since I had dropped it a couple months ago due to a professor who did not correlate the lecture materials with the exams and homework to the point the professor made it impossible to pass the class. Half of the class end up dropping so I was not the only one.

Retaking it at community college for 5 weeks will be so much better as it is cheaper, the material is not so much in depth as in a four year University and the professors from what I know are more caring and understanding from where I’m at.. Even though there’s a slight bump in the road I’m looking forward to what these next few months will bring and beyond.

Other than that not much to really talk about and not much else is going on with me especially not depression and anxiety which is really good personally for me...

Wow, it looks as if you are making choices for yourself, rather than others. That's good Dylan, I'm glad for you.

It's great to hear things are going fairly well for you. Other young adults with ASD can benefit from hearing how you are doing. I'm glad you are not currently having much trouble with anxiety or depression!

You seem to have everything under control. Congratulations. Good news is good news. Thanks for sharing this.

It's great to get your own space and a car, these resources will be helpful. Well done getting the internship too, hope you can make a plan that means you can attend this next year. They are keen to get you, understandably. What an interesting field you are in! Good luck with it all.
