Just been turned down by Virgin Media, but I knew they probably would.

Topic.

Got an email about 2 hours ago, "we aren't taking your application any further".

Fair enough, I didn't think I'd get it anyway but meh, I had a punt on it, and I've got that interview on Friday with the Agency in Town, been to see where exactly it is today, and it's bottom of Pinstone St between British Heart Foundation and the Pub.

Not much parking down there for carer so I might book a Taxi.

Anyway, wish me luck for Friday :D

Great luck to you. Back when I had to work I purchased a book called 100 toughest interview questions. I scripted, practiced and fine tuned responses to each question before I went in for my command performance. It worked at many places and I got the job. I just couldnt keep up the act for very long. I definately went and scoped the place out ahead of time.. Great Luck to you!

Best of luck!

Here's a question I've used that usually gets a positive reaction, apparently it's not usual to ask:
"Are there any things you would like to further discuss to see how I'm a good fit?" (it might need some rephrasing to better suit their need, but the idea is you are actively offering your help on any doubts they might have... only, don't use negative words such as "doubt", it influences people).

That book that Bender5 recommended, I strongly recommend it as well.
