Just getting over norovirus

I’m still weak. At least I’m eating again. It’s been 6 days since this started. I’m supposed to take risperidone. It makes me constipated. I’ve gone 6 days without restoralax. Feels like I have constipation a little bit but not much. I’ve been having loose watery stools still. I wonder if it’s because I stopped risperidone for two days when I was sick or if it’s still the virus. I’m not sure when I should take restoralax again. It’s what I used to treat constipation from risperidone. I’m still having diarrhea so probably not for a while yet. My parents want to see me Sunday but I don’t want to make them sick. Been trying to do my wash here but it doesn’t work well because they are crappy little machines. But I did what I could.

How did you catch that? I hate that nasty horrible virus I don't know why it has to exist for, it's the reason I live in terror and fear every day, it's everywhere and the next time I catch it I'll probably commit suicide because I just can't stand being sick, I hate it, I'd rather die.

Hope you feel better soon. I'd rather be constipated than have the opposite.

Given how quickly Norovirus spreads in close environments, were I ever enticed to take a cruise, I would probably get the vaccine.

In 2009 I caught Clostridium difficile and I would not wish that on anybody. The gut permeability it caused also wreaked havoc on my electrolyte balance and I was then experiencing some coordination issues.

Norovirus increases gut permeability and negatively impacts the normal microflora. With all that going on, hydrating with an electrolyte solution and eating a probiotic, like Activia, can help with recovery along with prebiotic fiber (fruits, veggies and material like Benefiber). You want to get your gut biome healthy again.

And, please check with your Physician before using any osmotic laxative like restoralax.
