Just wanted to let AC know that ...

Just took a listen. Gotta say..listening to the words intently, thinking of my diag with AS...I found it somewhat empowering! My depression kicked in a bit near the end, but thanks for sharing! (Just a curious question. Is "shooting" an innuendo for a rock stars heroin addiction?)

Well, I don't know if it's being used in that context here, but to "shoot up" is to use an intravenous drug.

Yeah, I know. Just looking for hidden meanings in song lyrics is kind of a hobby..not too hard to imagine what Puff The Magic Dragon - by Peter, Paul, & Mary is all about, right!? (I was shocked when that one hit me, fond memories of my mom playing guitar and singing that to me as a child to help me calm from a stress overload. :)

We should post more songs that "speak to us" for further conversation topics...I'll go looking now.

That's interesting subject in itself though...the real meanings of lyrics.

If you were talking about the Bay City Rollers it might be one thing. The Beatles? Quite another!

I agree to the topic idea! What song were you talking about with the BCR and Beatles?

What is the best way to start a new topic on the iOS app? ....figured it out myself! :)

My 2c? Let symbols mean what you wish them to mean, what is important to you. That's what really gives a symbol its meaning, it would otherwise be shallow. Symbolism is special because it is individual to each person. If we all took the same meaning from everything, where's the fun in that? Conformity blows! : D

And I have to agree with the sentiment in the OP. To every member- Never forget how unique you are. Don't let anyone keep you back from your potential with their perception. Go for that pearl in your oyster. Learn to love the journey as much as the destination. That's a gift in and of itself. : )

Sea Monkeys are not primates!

I always imagine this as the audio accompaniment for that piece of information:
