Has anyone else found using cannabis seems to make group social occasions a little less stressful?
Sometimes I amaze myself as I'm almost "bubbly". Is it just because inhibitions are lowered?
Seems counter intuitive really as a lot of people get quite paranoid when stoned. Almost never happens to me though.
And I'm much better at dancing! Or maybe I just think I am............ (?)

i think with cannabis leaves, its how much toxin is in your liver and kidneys, i think if your kidneys and liver are efficient, then you experience the paranoid reaction

I don't smoke it ever....but I make ghee out of leaves and butter and then make cookies with the butter. I think maybe it works differently because it goes through the digestive system.
There's nothing at all wrong with my liver and kidneys. My body is very healthy.......my head on the other hand........

No one really smokes the leaves. It's the buds where it's all at.
But I wonder this also. I'm a weed head and my liver and kidneys seem fine. I don't suffer from weed Paranoia. It can come from weed, just like it can happen if the wrong people are around me.

What my amateur opinion on weed is:
It's a calmer isn't it? It slows the brain a bit. Some call it dope. And for a good reason. But for me, it calms my mind and reduces the erratic and lightning quick thinking patterns.

Also it's easier to blend with other people. Cause I'm stoned. I like the feeling, it doesn't effect me like alcohol does. IE: be loud, take risks, jump about etc. It in my opinion doesn't reduce inhibitions. That's what the drink does for me. If I drink I lose those then and can really let myself go.

But the weed for me I'd more like a coffee. If I'm groggy in morning a cup will get you to wake up. And keep you going.

Weed, is like a coffee in reverse. It sorts my mind, I organise my thoughts and understand what bothers me.

But it's also a 'relaxer' in the evening. Music, weed and food. It's my little fix also...

Plus.. it's a recreational activity I do with mates. When wet all stoned were all on a similar level.

For me it's perfect. It serves a multi of uses its not addictive, it don't kill. It don't make me or many others smash windows, fight etc etc.

You couldn't even tell I'm stoned.

Hope that answers some questions.

PS I've been a weed head for 20 years so please don't patronise me anyone with stays and wiki info. Im a seasoned pro....

I find alcohol to be enough, personally. I don't agree with using cannabis recreationally. I get that it helps a lot of people so for that reason I think it should be legalised for prescriptions but that's it. It should be a controlled drug. But I'm going off on track now.

Well it is a controlled drug here in Australia, but that doesn't stop people using it. The effect of alcohol though is completely different and really not good if you are depressed. Thing is people have far more problems using alcohol, which isn't controlled!
Anyway to each their own. I don't use cannabis often because I rarely use it alone....and I don't socialise much! I just find it helps me get through some social situations when I feel particularly anxious. No one knows I'm stoned though because I eat it before I leave home and it is takes about an hour to kick in.

@Fitzo I used to use cannabis and I found it extremely helpful for the same reasons you gave. I think it's well past time now for some type of US or Dutch model. It's obscene to me that so much police time and money is used to enforce such outdated laws. I'm sure the police have far more important things to spend their time and limited budget on. Keeping it illegal keeps the hundreds of millions pouring into the hands of criminal gangs, instead of the coffers of the treasury where it could be spent on stopping the the endless supply of heroin and cocaine. I quit years ago, but provided adults don't drive under the influence or are solely responsable for kids etc, what they do in the privacy of their own home is of no concern to me.

I have tried it... It seemed to calm my mind down a lot, but the smell and the smoke made me want to puke. SPD and weed not so much, but it seemed to help otherwise. I tried the oil in a chocolate bar. (I was in Colorado at my cousins. Its legal there). The oil is strong (too me). I had this avatar thing going... It was pretty unforgettable actually.
I didn't feel that I was in control of myself, so I just decided that I would just probably not do that very often.

I'm all for it, if it helps someone, go for it. I truly feel it is less dangerous than alcohol, but that is my sick head at work. To each his own. : )

Maybe search out some strains that have less thc and more cbd. Medicinal strains they tend to be.

You can get vapes, they look like the hilt of a lifesabre, pretty cool. Pretty costly back in the day. Hardly any smoke or smell. Press a button, wait ... and suck in from the tube... like a breathalyser tube. Nice little hit. No tobacco.
