Katy Perry

I remember hearing hear years ago... before she got really famous. Which was a couple of months before "I kissed a girl" came out. I told a friend of mine... "this'll be the next big thing"... and in a way, I was right, lol. But it was the same with Lady gaga and her "Just dance" song. I told him the same thing... he never doubted me again on that aspect.

As to what I think of her... it's not really my kind of music. I think she looks pretty good though, however, I've seen pictures that prove otherwise. Unflattering facial expressions for example. But yeah... those are more funny than sexy. Last year, when I was dating a girl, she was into a lot of, what's commonly refered to as "Crunkcore" (to some people, a horrible mash-up of styles... don't think it's that bad) and the name 3oh!3 does get dropped every now and then within that genre. Katy re-recorded one of their songs with them and I thought that her addition to the song was good... made me think... "her voice actually isn't that bad", but that's usually the most Perry I listen to.

Even though I'm more into rock rather than pop I still love Katy Perry. She does have a lot of catchy songs. I even bought one of her albums a while back.

I like the songs Fingerprints and Firework by her, but even those seem sort too pop-ish to me, sort of juvinielle somehow, but I just try to tell that part of my brain to shush and enjoy the song. At least they have a positive message and that's what I like about them. I love these empowering songs.

I don't know if I like her as a person yet (it's hard to tell because of course I don't know her personally) but from her music, yes it's really good. My favorite song from her is Wide Awake, followed by Firework. Hot n Cold is another good one :)

Sometimes I inadvertently make my craft projects resemble her. I can't think of anything to really say about her as an artist though... she just has no impact on my ears.

I am not familiar with her music, nor her personality. That being said, she is sexy, she did kiss a girl.
