Late diagnosed woman in UK here, Hi all!

1992Machine

Everything but also nothing... all at once
I've already had the severe ADHD diagnosis and awaiting the ASD.
Ever since my psychiatrist said ASD as well it seems to have made my ticks worse and I'm struggling to hide them at work/out.
Just looking for a community of like minded people to socialize with on here, as I've lived alone the last few years I've gotten worse and worse through lack of exposure to people so she said it would be a good idea to talk but I don't want to be out.
I hope everyone is having a nice day :) looking forward to chatting!

Hello and welcome! I hope you’re having a nice day as well. Let us know if you need any help figuring out the forum as you settle in.

Hey thank you it's lonely out here! Really struggling at the moment
Hi 1992,

I'm new here as well. I just wanted to say hello. I don't know..when you said you are really struggling at the moment I really connected with that. I often times feel so very alone, even in company, even around friends and family. I know it might not change much of anything at all but I'm wishing you the absolute best and I hope that you find the support and encouragement you're looking for on here. At the very least, make sure to take time for self-care or little creature comforts. I've been really struggling as well but today I found the cutest framed drawing/sketch of this little orange and white tabby cat sleeping peacefully on a pillow with a smile on his face. I have it right here by my end table and every time I look at it I get waves of peace and happy giddy feelings and warmth. I hope that you find little simple joys like that to help get you through the lonely times.

Hi and Welcome @1992Machine

This is a good place to hang out - when it suits you. You can follow chats, or follow an aspect that interests you, and there are some friendly people in here.

Welcome @1992Machine , @ChrisCRISPR . I hope you will find here interesting and get support. Being alone I could deal with, but being existentially lonely to the core of my being nearly broke me. I found that autism does not mean that we lack normal desires for connection.

Hello, and welcome to the forum! Thank you for joining and sharing your diagnosis with us. I hope you have a great time here and are able to have positive experiences here. :cherryblossom:

Welcome. Great FMA picture, loved that show, still one of my favorites. Alchemy becomes such an interesting and fun concept in it.
