Legends: Shy, awkward or introverted, and cool!

There were a couple of posts recently that made me want to create this thread. The newer threads titled, "A Very Touching Story" and "Brand New Social Situation tonight" made me think of legends who were shy, awkward, introverted and cool. As this is a forum where most feel they have one or more of those traits, I was wondering who was or is your favorite legend that meets that definition, and why? They could be a part of the sports, medical, technology, or arts and entertainment industry, or be someone you saw or see in your everyday lives who you consider to be a legend in your own mind.

I should not, but I kinda like Darth Maul

Although he did not make my list of twenty or so, which I will reveal one by one throughout this thread as others reply, that is a cool and creative choice! The pictures of him alone says a thousand words to me. He certainly fits many of those criteria. I would not want to do battle with him, but he can be my friend if he wants to go with me to meet some of my former bullies.

Here is my list that I thought of. Any on this list that you really agree or disagree with, or do you have any others that I may have missed which you feel are really shy or introverted, and being quirky or cool?

Elvis Presley
Johnny Carson
David Bowie
Bob Dylan
Susan Boyle
Abraham Lincoln
Bill Gates
Kurt Cobain
Marilyn Manson
Clint Eastwood
Michael Jackson
Kristen Stewart
Marshawn Lynch
Prince
George Harrison
Harrison Ford
Freddie Mercury
Jo DiMaggio
Julia Roberts
Jerry Seinfeld
Bing Crosby

The musician Roy Orbison was apparently quite shy. He's an artist I remember my dad playing when I was kid and I have recently "rediscovered" him and have been enjoying the listen. He had a fairly reserved stage presence and always had sunglasses on adding to his mystique.

I listened to his music growing up too. I thought he had a unique stage presence and voice. Maybe his glasses were less for show, but because of that shyness. I thought he was really interesting.

I believe the sunglasses were in fact part of his shyness if I remember reading correctly about it.

I'm not one to care about celebrities, but someone you could add to your list is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
