Hi!
I know we have just met but want to know about the time this girl in high school invited me to coffee to break up with me as a friend?
Or how about how I get overwhelmed being around too many emotional people?
Or that time I landed a dream job only to get so excited and then sleep in on my second day of work and get fired?
I am just beginning to understand this myself, as a female I have had a ton of diagonses but I think I finally found one that could help to explain all of my symptoms. Any advice on where to go from here? Do I find a therapist who can help me? Do I continue with life as normal and just laugh to myself a little more often?

Oh boy. I'll stop. But looking forward to to meeting everyone!

Hi Gabrielle :)

Hi & Welcome,
From your Avatar I will guess you are a cat person. If so, there are seemingly thousands like you here already so you should have no problem fitting in. I think cats are ok, but like dogs much more. ;)

Welcome! I like the title of your thread! It figures though that I’m not in the mood to over share at this moment! But I can relate to all the experiences you shared, except when friends stopped being friends with me they never bought me coffee first.

Welcome. I just joined a few days ago myself and love the way everyone communicates. Have you read articles on autism and aspergers? Make sure you read the female traits because there are differences. When I first started reading about autism I was reading about typical, this is what people expect to see stuff. Though I could relate it didn't fit until I started reading about female traits and thought I could have written this stuff. Females tend to hide these traits well, and I think even to ourselves or maybe try to find a justifiable reason. When I decided I wanted to know for certain, I asked my physician to refer me to someone. They just referred me to a psychiatrist who referred me to a specialist. The specialist did a series of tests that most were stupid. Like he set a table full of toys in front of me and said to entertain myself while he read over some stuff. Really? But between the testing and what we talked about, I got my official diagnosis and it explained everything about me. I hope you are able to get what you need for you.

Ahoy Gabby! (I hope it's alright to call you by that)

I hope you make new friends and enjoy your stay in the process :)
