Life Hacks

A life hack I taught my niece: when you're in the back seat of the car and can't see which of the two seatbelt buckles is the center one just run your finger over the front. The word centre is always printed in raised letters on the centre buckle.

I loved the ketchup cup vid, but the best part is that he put on safety glasses to do it.

Ok, here's an easy way to separate eggs. Try it, then come back & let us know how much time you spent moving the yolk from bowl to bowl & giggling … I couldn't stop! Hehehe

If you're ever short on batteries for a remote control of your television or anything, take some aluminum foil and make a batterysized roll and put that in where the 2nd battery goes. It closes the circuit and conducts electricity just as well. Battery life might decrease, but it could help you out for a while. Should work on flashlights as well, though it could decrease brightness a bit.

Similarly, it the little spring in the battery compartment of your remote control broke, you can put a small ball of aluminum foil in there so it makes contact with the battery and the remote to close the electrical circuit. No need to buy a new remote if said spring ever broke

Also, if you need a AA battery and all you have are AAA, you can use the AAA and use tin foil to make up the gap. I noticed that it works best if you put the foil on the flat negative side of the battery.

How to peel a mango. First you have to cut out the seed, of course. I just tried this, works great!

Awesome life-hack: If you need to focus, you must listen to sounds.

Sounds from coffee shops helps you to focus and be creative (you may use Coffeetivity.com), while classical and rock helps you with things you know well, like programming. Try to listen to songs you've never listened before (the shuffle is your best friend, haha). Ambient sound, white noise, rain noise are also good to keep focus.
Videogames OST, prog rock, Vangelis (Blade Runner's OST) may serve as ambient sound.
If you're trying to learn something, it's best not to hear any sound.
