LifeCheck

In a state of job transition, as I am downsizing my I.T. business. Meditating on how Aspergers effects life, and develop better ways to live. Off medication for the past 5 years, I had believed living with symptoms is better than side-effects.

Looking for helpful articles that make living with Aspergers bearable, as I am completely burnt out in 2015, after having much metal energy a year ago. Burt out effects my ability to retain and process information and is severely effecting my efficiency.

Do people with pure Aspergers differ from traits of people with Aspergers/Tourettes like me?
Have you found non medicated ways of dealing with Tourette like tics?

I know that my Dopamin must be high or at least very sensitive in certain ways, as I am very sensitive to musical frisson. (Euphoric sensations induced by sound) This euphoria will reduce Tourettes temporarily. Other times, when choice music is not present, I must put my hand on my chin, as this is the only thing that will cause my head to stop shaking. Reading is one of my biggest interests, but I've never been able to read much outside job related literature, because it's too hard to keep my head "and focus" on what I'm reading. :-(

But what of the thought that aspies have lower amounts of dopamin, but Touretts have too much? Is it known how Aspergers and Tourettes can coexsist? Possibly due to a mutation that effects particular, but seperate dopamine receptors?

Need People
Realize that my inability to relate to people is the most stressful thing I deal with every day. I'm a social aspie who's social ability has gotten even worse, due to being burnt out. In the past year, its been increasingly difficult to think of words, proper words, or even any word. Just even thinking of what words to say creates a blank mind with vocal stutters and long pauses before I can think of the next word. Beyond the faulty speech and ability to relate, I also have an inability to simply bond with people. I've rarely felt a connection with anyone, and that causes me much pain. Yes, I experience large amounts of caring compassion, but lack heartfelt comradery, even though I try.

Helps with social aptitude.
How have you had success with simply relating and talking to people?

A recent study shows that people with autism are more social, and read facial and nonverbal cues when using an oxytocin nasal spray. Has anyone had success with this therapy, or anything, "and I mean anything" that increases ability to relate appropriately with people?
