Explain to me why lifting your one leg back in a photo (mostly females) I’ve seen… what is the resemblance? Please

It's just a very old media cliche. As if to show a woman is smitten.

Remember E.T. ? Elliot kissed his classmate while standing on a chair (she was taller) so he could kiss her. And when he did, she raised her leg.

I've never seen anyone ever do that in real life. Just in the movies....lol. If it was a really popular gesture at one time, it would have likely been before I was born in the 50s.

Every time I have tried to pose myself in pictures to look thinner or like I had smaller thighs or a smaller stomach or butt, it backfired and everything looked huge lol
