likability

The part about the fake smile vs real smile was pretty interesting. I didnt know how easy it was for people to tell the difference haha and I dont think I can pull off the part about being physically close to someone. I absolutly NEED my space. I have a huge personal space bubble. But its pretty cool that someone compiled these things into a single article/picture thing. Sounds pretty useful

I once bought a book on body language and experimented with it. Of course, it still doesn't come naturally, but it has proven helpful in some situations so long as I'm aware of it. Particularly in employment situations or, any situation where I have to be aware of stuff like that.

I remember I made a lot of notes and highlights in that book. I'm guessing I'm not the only Aspie who has done this, either. Heh.

No you you're not :D btw do you remember which book it was? Maybe we were reading the same book :) I don't personally remember, but if I saw it I would recall

It was this one. I didn't agree with some of it, but then again, I shouldn't be critiquing it too much if I'm studying a book on body language, heh. It did have a lot of interesting parts, though.

no it was'n that one but basic ideas are the same. The one that I read should have been published somewhere in 90s for the 1st time.

Some interesting information in that. I didn't realize so much went into a simple handshake. Need to perfect mine. :D

Ooh and absolutely need to work on the smile too.

Im sad to say that Iv lost a few jobs because of handshakes. If Id had caught on to the little tricks of a manly handshake then Id probably be a lead-foreman but instead im just a transferable foreman (basically the lowest management position available).

I dont go into as much thought of shaking hands as the article suggests, but I grip very firmly to show confidence and Im never the first to break the handshake to hopefully show a bit of dominance. I really shouldve learned that a while ago :/
