Made a new friend at The Mohawk

This is the short version of what happened:

I made a new friend while attending a music show at The Mohawk last Friday. Her name is Jennifer and I initiated contact with her first. I ended up getting her phone number and we interacted through out the show, even danced together. But it didn’t stop there! She invited me to go to the show’s after party at the Elysium club and we danced together some more!

Looks like some of the advice is starting to work, ewe are pulling for you good luck my wife loves dancing. dancing to disco music was her thing before she meet me.

That sounds encouraging. You and Jennifer stay in touch, ok, and the minute you get a chance, go find some more ways to beat depression. (She may be a big help.)

Is Jennifer pretty? What kind of personality has she?

And also you're a very good writer so if you want to give the longer version go for it!

Omg. I feel like l just gave birth to a successful boy baby. So exciting. You are your path. You are a success.

Bottomline, he ventured he gained.

Now phone her and let her know the great time you had. Thank her. Follow-up is critically important.

Do it!
This is legit advice here - that little extra connection might do the trick.

Markness, IF SHE GAVE YOU HER TELEPHONE NUMBER SHE WOULD PROBABLY LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU.

And you would probably like to catch up with her too.

This maybe one of many or the one. You have to dip your toe in the pool everyday and see how you feel. I am truly happy for you.

Good point @Ronald Zeeman . Sometimes the one guy who has always stuck it out through thick and thin ended up being the guy for me. I stuck it out and was there for him. And we are still both there for each other when the chips are down.

I still can't go up to someone I don't know and talk to them so congrats on that. The closes I did was a few weeks ago when I asked a woman at a controlled after church to hang out after when they were doing a coffee hang but this is a big thing I already knew her two previous weeks from Tuesday life group.

Two Friday nights ago now, I attended My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult’s show in Austin. After arriving at The Mohawk club wearing my dragon necklace as well as dragon finger rings and ambling around a bit, a lady with gothic makeup and fashion caught my eyes for some reason. There were other goths at the show but she stood out to me in particular. When I went up to the club’s upper level, I saw her again sitting on one of the stair flights after I walked down a row and leaned on the railing. Something clicked in my brain and I decided to ask her how she was. She looked up at me and answered me. We made some shop talk about music as well as our lives and she patted my hand after telling her of myself finally being free from dealing with a work bully. Another thing clicked in my mind and I asked her for her phone number. She happily gave it to me! I think it was at that point she told me her name was Jennifer and I told her my name was Mark.

Jennifer mentioned having to get in contact with her “girlfriend” but she would talk to me again later. We both walked around the club separately from each other until just about when the opening musician was going to come on. I re-encountered Jennifer while she was sitting on a stone ledge talking to a guy. She called out to me and not only introduced her friend to me but said I was a “doll.” As the show went on, she introduced me to more of her friends, including who may have been the “girlfriend” she mentioned earlier. During the second act, I managed to get close to the stage with Jennifer and she put her arm around me while she danced! As the show went on, she “snuggled” into my neck, to which I happily did the same, and took my hands in her own. She also mentioned that I had “better come” to the after party event. I would’ve gone regardless but when she further explained that it would be at Elysium, I became even more excited! The Elysium club is a place in Austin I’ve been wanting to attend for a long spell now and having a beautiful lady escort me was a dream come true!

We both walked to Elysium after Thrill Kill Kult’s encore and we both got in free since all we had to do was show our tickets. Elysium is probably Austin’s best known gothic/electronic dance club and getting to experience in was like something I only dreamed of until then. Jennifer had me join her on the dance floor and so did her “girlfriend.” They both danced rather erotically and even kissed but Jennifer still approached me and held my hands. Before we parted, we hugged and agreed to keep in contact.

You just blew me away. Talk about a home run, see they, women, are not that different from us, know just take it one step at a time be yourself, I liked watching bands play live my wife liked dancing, disco was hot when we met. Not having a girlfriend before I meet her. I had no idea how to dance. It looks like it's your turn now.
