Anyway, I used to enjoy using the old Windows Movie Maker, but this new version of Movie Maker sucks. It's not as user friendly and it doesn't seem to have the features like the old one.

Here's my question for our resident computer gurus and/or movie makers, what is a "good" movie making program that will work with Windows 7 that is "easy" to use for someone lacking the skills and knowledge of Industrial Light and Magic. My computer has 2GB of RAM and a 320 GB hard drive, so it should be able to handle more than the old XP machine.

The only video editing software i know about on windows is DaVinci Resolve Free. But it does not meet your requirements.

From some quick research OpenShot Video Editor seems to be similar to Windows Movie Maker. I do not know how easy it would be to make something on it, but it does looks and feels like a video editing software for easy to slightly advanced users.
