Geordie

So who likes Metal Music?

Why not share with us some of the metal you listen to? :)

I'm probably the biggest heretic that listens to metal, lol... pretty much none of the big classic names in the genre do anything for me. Never have and probably never will. Myea... perhaps a bit of Slayer (but only a limited amount)

But along the thread, I'm willing to share this song... made of nothing but awesomeness

As well as this

But let's not forget some classics. Don't want to be the snobby "I only like new stuff" guy.

The Converge track was awesome though Geordie ^^

I grew up with metal music in the 1980s and it was one of my first loves musically. I love Metallica (Master of Puppets is their best album in my opinion) but I also love the older stuff from the early-mid 1970s. Paranoid by Black Sabbath is a firm favourite along with Ace of Spades by Motorhead. Interestingly Lemmy has always said that he identifies with punk culture as well as metal and rock'n'roll.

The thread is not picking up a lot, so I guess I'll share some more stuff I enjoy ^^

Somehow this music video strikes me as ironic. It's not a edit of sorts... it's the actual band doing a rap style video while the music is anything but rap, lol

A few of my favorites. Mare shall come in the future. A huge metal head I am.

Reign Carrion by Vader (Poland)

Troops of Doom by Sepultura (Brazil) Favorite band of all time, Max Cavalera (Lead singer) era, they never made a bad song.

Victorious March by Amon Amarth (Sweden) Hard to find a good quality of this track on youtube. A relatively recent discovery and already among my top favorites.

I like mostly progressive metal, that can include almost any flavors and mostly same things do in lighter rock. As I tend to get bored easily I need my music to have interesting techniques. Usually I appreciate albums as decided set, and can't often name any specific song off the whole. I'll try:

I love heavy metal.

I am mostly into the gothic, operatic and symphonic sub-genres of metal. I do like the harder sub-genres too though. I like black metal, death metal and metal core.
