Might as well say Hi ^_^

Monachopia

...spiral out... keep going.
I hate being social and posting things to draw attention to myself, but maybe I should stop being so socially awkward on occasion... right? <_< I never fit in anywhere, maybe I should make an effort...

So.. I'm from Russia, but live in London, UK. Been recently diagnosed with ASD at 32 years old... Love metal music, video games, I draw quite a lot and paint Warhammer miniatures... Have some university degrees and working on my third in Computer Science. :)

That's all I can muster up to say at this time...

Hi there.

I know the feeling well and even responding makes me feel shy!

Your English is fantastic by the way. But living in London? All I can say is, hope you are careful, because I happen to know it is not a safe place to live.

I come from the uk myself; from the outskirts of London, but have been living in France for a long time and well, my French leads a lot to be desired ( sadly, very typical of the British)!

Haha, responding is indeed nerve wracking! I live on the outskirts of London to be honest - near Richmond, so it's pretty safe around here! And have been in the UK since I was 10, so I picked the language up at the expense of almost forgetting my mother tongue! :p
How long have you been living in France? :)

Just to mention a shared interest,
I am a longtime figurine collector. I sometimes sculpt my own and have painted thousands. Its mostly historical subjects, but I also ventured into LOTR and D&D.

Oh nice Tom! I played some D&D for a while, but found the having to act the character a bit daunting... So collecting and painting miniatures is a much safer and more interesting hobby! Do you have some stuff you could show off? :)

That I think is somewhat common. I was only able to do it in my most social period (20s). The same with historical figures. Built large armies but mainly just to enjoy setting up once in a while. Am trying to dig out some pics. They are never where you think they are.

Welcome to the forums Monachopia. :)
This is a great place to be yourself and social.
Hope you enjoy it here.

I found some, but not my favorites (of course) This are all LOTR things I sculpted/painted, based on the movies, about 1/32 scale (60mm high figures). (Except the small ruins under the Orc).

Oooh, very nice! ^_^ I like the worn out/crumbled look of the figures in the first picture and the rest of them look quite menacing!
Which reminds me, I really need to continue painting my 40k army... argh.
