Milly’s Painting Thread

A thread for posting my paintings and other artwork, for anyone who’s interested. I plan on updating this as I finish new pieces. My house has terrible lighting, so some photos may not turn out the best.

As a disclaimer, a lot of my paintings are cartoon and anime themed, and some are based on already existing photos while some are not. I don’t take credit for creating any of the characters I feature in my work.

For now, some already completed work:

Artemis from a couple years ago

Cat from Neko Atsume, which was a result of one of my first attempts at painting

Gumby!

Vash on an acrylic panel, this was my first attempt at panel painting and is still one of my favorites

More to come soon!

I really love your line work. It’s so perfect. I also really like how bold the lines are as well. Good job. Artists supporting artists.

Haven’t painted in a while, but I want to get back into it. I didn’t have any canvases, so I decided to paint what I do have: rocks. I looked up some ideas on Google and this is what I came up with, based on other’s examples. The shape of the rock on the left was perfect for the candy corn, in my opinion. I want to drop these off at a rock garden tonight, so someone can enjoy them.

I'm really enjoying all of your work but that triangle rock is my favorite. There is a childlike whimsey to your work that I enjoy. It reminds me of my Mothers paintings. She calls this one "Mr. Primary Crow". My Mom is 75 years old. She painted that maybe 2 months ago. I'm looking forward to seeing future works of yours now that I have this thread on my watch list. :)

Thank you! And I love that painting. So playful and joyful.
