mozart and the whale

hello friends! i won't state the obvious information, but i actually have MILD asperger's syndrome. this is what i consider to be halfway between nt and as. i gather this is way less diagnosed or common. the fact that it isn't full fledge asperger's syndrome makes me nervous that i won't be accepted with aspies any more than i am with the neurotypicals. but i'm cool with being stuck in the middle. i make for a great mediator between both parties. i suspected i had mild as from reading mozart and the whale then verified online that there was such a thing and that i apparently do indeed have it. asperger's syndrome fascinates me endlessly. i love love love aspies!!! it turns out advertently my closest friends or my friends are usually aspies as well. i think i get along best with them. they get along best with me. we attract each other. something. i'm here because i'm sick of facebook and want to find some other people to talk to and other places to communicate on the internet. i love you all, i'm here for you, i look forward to getting to know you better, and becoming your friend.

has anyone anyone read or seen mozart and the whale? what did you think of it?

I couldn't understand anything you wrote Becca because of the font :D But I can feel the genuineness in the message anyway :x I think I might just imagine what you said and then give you a response to my perception (read) of you instead :s But somewhere else ;) In all seriousness, what makes you connect yourself to being an aspie or 'half-aspie'? If you found out you weren't, I'm sure it wouldn't change how you feel but what kind of things make you unique that you see in others you connect with?

ttys.

Hi Becca, nice to meet you. I haven't read/seen mozart and the whale but I just searched it up and it seems interesting. I might have to see the movie.

ok i changed the font color of my original post. :)

andrew, what did you think of the book? i adore the newports. :D

nice to meet you too, aaron! thank you.

what makes you connect yourself to being an aspie or 'half-aspie'? If you found out you weren't, I'm sure it wouldn't change how you feel but what kind of things make you unique that you see in others you connect with?

i was amazed at how profoundly i related to others with AS. i am most like like mary newport just not to the same extreme, but in the sense of music, psychology, bipolar, outgoing, bold artistic craziness, interest in others, down-to-earth, contemplative etc. these aren't exclusive aspergic traits but it made me see that a)i am just like her B) asperger's syndrome is not all uniform, cloned, cut and dry, typical but that it can manifest itself in a diversity of ways, in more ways than i was lead to think just by reading about it. c) i realized if she could have it, so could i.
but i knew i wouldn't pass the diagnostic for one thing. i wondered if it were possible i had a mild form of asperger's syndrome. then i looked it up online and sure enough, there is such a thing called mild asperger's syndrome and it is just as i thought and described me perfectly. i took the AQ test and my score also verified this.
it is not as easy for me to explain specifically all the little examples. well gotta run! later

Welcome aboard Becca to Aspergic forums.

I have heard of mozart and the whale and I might have recall seeing it previously though?
