My cold Christmas

I had four days off for Christmas, back to work tomorrow, and all four days were frigid  Temperatures hovering around -30 Celsius/-22 Fahrenheit plus wind chill

Just life in Canada really... But back in 2017 we had a similar cold snap over Christmas, rather frustrating this time around as I was stuck inside most of the time (read: cabin fever), was really hoping for some nice long walks, the most I could handle was one hour, before freezing up.. And got very few photos over all four days, maybe I'm guilty of having too many expectations... I remember back in 2017 it was very similar...

And I need to remind myself that everyone here in western Canada was dealing with it, not just me... A couple of photos, but really wish I could have done a lot more...

It does look very cold there but still beautiful. I have always loved Canada.
Temperatures have been pretty low here too but not that low… my area does also get cold, at least colder than the city.

I think you’re really talented and it makes me sad that you’re so hard on yourself… People appreciate your work :) And you’re a really cool person too.
Hope you enjoyed your Christmas.
Stay warm! :)

Thanks for posting your pictures @Sherlock77
They are interesting & beautiful.
It’s hard enough just putting seed in the birdfeeders. Don’t know how you handle a camera out in those temperatures.
Also, since there is cabin fever here in MT too, being able to virtually get out and see other places is great!

It's more that I'm not much of a home body, I spent way too much time on my own (bored inside) over my four days off, because it was hard to be outside... I love snow, but am happiest taking a nice long walk outside in the snow when it isn't too cold...

Gloves and dressing warm, but that only goes so far when it's that cold...

I live alone too and I do get bored, but I try to get out as much as possible.
Looks like you have a very nice area to walk around though!

Here in Calgary there is plenty of park space in the inner city and all around the city, but very short hours of daylight this time of year

And I'm heading back to work in a few minutes, and still cold outside...
