My music on YouTube

Hi I've actually been around for a couple of months & I I've already introduced myself (I think). But I've been threatening to post a link to my music & artwork (to a lesser extent) and I'm finally gonna do it. I welcome any constructive criticism you guys might have, so if anyone is at all interested here's the link:

It's a lot of different stuff. Some are complete songs that I've written, mixed, and produced, and some are just undeveloped ideas, etc. Some are compositions without guitar that I hoped might find a home in some kind of indie game release someday maybe, but the guitar is my primary instrument and metal my go-to style.

Thanks for any interest!

For Natalie is exquisite. Particularly, through my headphones. You play guitar so beautifully.

I've not listened to your other pieces, as of yet.

You're welcome/my pleasure.

The piece entitled 'acoustic song I am working on' is beautiful as well.

I've listened to three of them so far, and was going to listen to more before replying. I really enjoyed Tesseract.

For Natalie was very sweet, but so sad to listen to and read.

"...because she was good friend to me far beyond my capacity to appreciate at the time. Because after all these years she's still the same awesome chick she was in first grade. Because she is weighted down by cares I know in my own life. And I worry about her even now."

"Natalie Steele1 month ago
He and his talent have been a gift to me . I wish he would call me"

Clearly none of my business, but I hope you have.

I'll listen some more, thank you for this.

She doesn't actually want me to call I don't think. We've tried 3 different times over the years to get together & be more than friends, and within a week it falls apart every time. The most recent time left a big impression on me, I mean I really struggled to make sense of it & will never forget it now. She had been staying with me for about 4 days when suddenly it was like nothing I could do would please her & she got more & more annoyed by little things that made no sense whatsoever to me. She didn't like that I had a code you have to enter to get into my phone, for example. She accused me of some ridiculous **** like lying about where I was going (I RARELY lie - I don't like to). I remember thinking she was just inventing problems as an excuse to go back to her boyfriend. Yet, just before she left to do exactly that she cried for an hour, saying she'd had high hopes for the two of us. She's completely NT and I don't think she even knows what Asperger's is so in the end I chalked it up to me misreading some vital cue & not saying whatever thing she needed to hear.
* shaking my head @ trying to understand female thought processes*
It's only sad because I don't have a lot of good friends & somehow managed to fubar even that with her now.

Anyway.

Hey, thanks for checking out my stuff. I know a lot of it is rough (I have to do all the mixing, etc too which I HATE b/c I don't know WTF I'm doing).

I love Star Trek! I was always more into Star Wars in the past but I've really developed an appreciation for ST.

Hi jacinto

welcome to af.png

(Belated) welcome, @jacinto! :)

I listened to several of your songs.

I particularly liked For Natalie, acoustic song I'm working on, Never Forgotten and Rising to the Challenge game theme.

For Jessica is interesting too.
I was surprised when it turned out to be a short guitar version of Silent Night, Holy Night. The title doesn't really give this away and there's no hint in the description either.
So I didn't expect this, but liked it after being surprised and a bit confused when it first started to play. I enjoyed it more when I was listening to it for the second and third time, without the surprise.
I like Silent Night, Holy Night in general as well.

Yeah, it was close to X-mas & she had asked me to do something like that. I should take it off of there, I had no part in the composing of Silent Night obviously lol, just my own adaptation of it for guitar. I just uploaded it so she could hear it. But thanks for your feedback & for taking the time, really.

...so far I like Dead to Me.

You are the first person to ever even say so. I worked months on it & thought it was like the best I'd ever done, and then family & friends were like, "Meh...don't quit your day job." I know it's way too long but I wanted it to have multiple "movements" like a classical composition, or something Pink Floyd might do. Nobody gets it. I'm still SLIGHTLY lagging behind Pink Floyd in record sales. I really appreciate that you mentioned it, that's great.
