My Remembrance Day photography this year

I feel like I push myself too hard at times (detailed in other recent threads), especially with Remembrance Day time... I feel relieved that it's over for another, as for about two weeks every year I keep very busy with myself, maybe too much

But here goes, this link lets you view all my edited photos from this year, the informal ceremony I went to today was not regimental at all so that had an impact on results, plus all my poppy portraits

Here is the link... Remembrance Day 2021 – Google Drive

Or maybe I feel like I'm trying to best myself, a photo from 2016, I think my best ever for Remembrance Day, one I still feel like I'm trying to best myself on, and not even coming close to succeeding with...

I really like that you managed to highlight the heart tattoo on her finger in the same frame as her poppy. It creates a mystery that you want to solve.

And this photo is my white whale, can I ever top it? I keep trying, but everything is judged against that, at least in my mind... Yet ultimately I know (should know) that the act of Remembrance Day itself is just the storyline of how we remember, it shouldn't matter that much how good my photos are...
