My theory that I might possess Japanese DNA

I've talked about Japan and their culture a couple times here on the site, and am in the process of learning Japanese as well as immersing myself in the customs. But, then something occurred to me after I made a friend who is Japanese.

After I met him I told him about how fast I was learning, because for someone that doesn't necessarily come from there, I shouldn't have learned and memorized things like kana so fast. I also shouldn't be able to speak Japanese with not only a coherent rate of speech but a thick, almost perfect Japanese accent, and I shouldn't be able to be so good at tasks that require intense reflexes and hand-eye coordination, yet I hold a record for beating the first level of Sonic 2 on Genesis in just 34 seconds. Once I did the math and put it all together, that's when it hit me; there's a chance I may actually have some percentage of Japanese DNA.

This sounds a little crazy, and there's a chance it may not be true. But if science is to be believed, although I was born in America, my genes could have developed and been passed around from any single part of the world before I was even a fetus, who knows?

I understand if you guys don't believe me. But it's just something that hit me like a ton of bricks, I have an intuition for these thoughts.

Yep! - get a DNA test done - no other way to confirm your intuition. It's very cheap now and it will confirm or deny your idea.

DNA test is your best answer. I once knew a co-worker who had a DNA test done to find whether or not his ex-girlfriend's child was his. He said it was a simple swab under the tongue, the results were conducted in a laboratory. The child wasn't his, the courts were satified and he was happy at the results. However, you need to ask yourself this question - if your DNA shows no evidence that you have Japanese ancestral linage, will this affect your passion to pursue the course of action you are engaged in?

And here is another thought, albeit based on my own personal research and to some degree my own personal belief. Maybe, you were once of direct Japanese descent in a past life.

It's cool that you have an aptitude for your interest but why shouldn't you be able to do these things?

Asian people are renowned for their sharp thinking and superior handiwork. Not to mention things like math.

I don't think it will affect my passion for the culture. Maybe I'll be straightened out and not over excited if I would be where I went "OMG I'm AN OTAKU IRL" but, yeah, I'll be okay with it otherwise.
