This is mostly a venting post, sometimes it helps to get it out
Just got home after my sixth day of work in a row, tired...
I worked Monday through Thursday with the agency, and it was going to be just a normal weekend... But got a phone call on Thursday afternoon about a weekend shift at a place I've been to three different times in the last two weeks... And a strange 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM shift... I did decline for the Sunday shift but went in for Friday and Saturday...
Today (Saturday) was essentially the last warm day of the year before the first snowfall of the year nails us, so I missed going out today My photography opportunities have been few and far between anyway the last two weekends, and I have very little to post anywhere... I know I shouldn't worry about such silly things
Side note - Last weekend, I did make a "date" with another local Autistic lady, I've known her for years, and neither one of us intends to be a couple (just for the record), we went to the local zoo, something she wanted to do and zoos just don't inspire me that much, but the connection was good, thus not much photography for me that day... But back to today
There was a function tonight by a local art group, related to a show I was part of back in July and I really wanted to attend the function as I want to support them, this dang work shift ended up ruining it for me... I thought that it was from 7 to 9 PM, didn't leave work until 8 PM, got stuck at the gas station behind "Mr. Lottery" as I grabbed a coffee *aargh!*, finally got downtown for 8:30 and walked by their gallery space and darkness... Turned out that the event was from 6 to 8 PM so I left work as it ended, now I just feel stupid and like they will look down on me, I know I shouldn't think that way, there are all sorts of reasons why I might not have made it
I plan to take Monday off as my weekend and that is the snow day, Sunday won't be warm and is when the snow will start
All this convoluted story about how I missed enjoying the last warm day of the year, and how my Saturday went sideways, I did sneak in a very brief walk in a local park on the way to work this morning (ten minutes at the most)
I guess we all have weird/crappy days sometimes, this was one for me
