Netflix question

I am a tad obsessed with Agatha Christie books, which I love reading, but have this thing that after I have read the book, I am eager to see it in a film and this could be due to imagination. I guess I lack it and so, get curious to see what another's imagination comes up with on the charactors.

I could easily do this in the past with YouTube, but I am gathering if you do not pay a subscription then they won't allow you to watch films and well, I sort of do get it, but still frustrating.

So, I try to view it for free else where and still nothing.

I was told about Netflix and see that I can join for a month's free trial, which is great, but first, how much is it in euros monthly? Not been able to find the answer. And can one view films in France?

Is it easy to cancel the free trial?

Ok, first of all, bear in mind that this is not strictly legal, but it might be possible to view them on the relevant TV channel website by using an VPN (software that gives your computer a UK IP address so that you can access restricted sites or material).

I did look into Netflix a while ago, and it cost something like 9 euros per month.

Standard subscription in Europe is €9.99

They don't get good reviews for customer service ,so I would be wary of starting a free trial.
I'm hoping to buy a DVD recorder ,I think it will be cheaper than subscribing to a TV channel. I don't trust them , I don't even have a yearly contract with a network for a mobile phone .

That’s a good suggestion, but Netflix block VPNs now, however of course there’s a bypass. It’s not difficult to sort out but one needs to be reasonable competent to do it. I don’t think it’s an issue of legality I think they just don’t want too many people connecting to the countries with the biggest libraries thus slowing things down, which is pretty unfair as it’s more or less the same price in every country regardless of how much they have to offer. Personally I would use Kodi with a VPN, but that is getting rather grey when it comes to legal issues although it is hugely popular.

We've done a couple of free trials on Netflix and on Amazon Prime. It was dead easy to cancel the subscriptions online for both. Just need to make sure you keep the date in your diary and cancel the subscription at least 24hrs before the first payment is due. It has to be said that there is some great content on Netflix these days so you may be tempted to stay subscribed after the month is up.

I have been a Netflix subscriber for many years. It costs about $10 US dollars per month.

I love Agatha Christie mysteries, too, and highly recommend you watch the BBC's Hercule Poirot series made from her stories, starring David Suchet. That series is no longer available on Netflix in the US but I don't know about its availability overseas. I also like her stories about Ms. Marple.

We have some kind of equipment like a router that allows us to watch Netflix on our TVs rather than just on a computer monitor. However, when we travel out of the US, we always take a laptop with us so we can log onto our Netflix account and watch shows in English on the laptop in foreign countries. If you are close to and trust someone in Great Britain, you could get them to open a Netflix account for you, and give you the password so you can tap into the account from France.

The Agatha Christie mysteries starring David Suchet are broadcast by ITV ,the mysteries starring Joan Hickson As Miss Marple were broadcast by the BBC.
There are a few TV movies with Helen Hayes as Miss Marple And Peter Ustinov as Hercule Poirot.
There is a newer version of Miss Marple called Marple with Julia McKenzie as Miss Marple Broadcast by ITV .

In regards to Netflix, not sure about availability but Amazon offers a Firestick that can be plugged directly into your TV to satisfy most of your streaming needs. I use it for Amazon Prime, Hulu, Netflix, Crunchyroll, & others. So convenient I dropped my cable service & 100% stream now.

I hate to be picky, but why is a question about Netflix in general autism discussions? Surely it belongs in the computer and technology section?

You are right. I guess I assumed that it would be transferred over.
