Neurological disorder vs. Nervous System Disorder

I know many of us know autism be be a Neurological disorder or neurological difference, but wouldn't it be better described as a nervous system difference/disorder? The nervous system spans the entire body and sends signals back and forth from the body to the brain and vice versa. We focus on the brain since everyone seems to focus on the social issues as that is the most apparent aspect to the rest of the world. I suppose neurological does refer to the entire nervous system, but when people use the term they generally are referring to the brain I believe. I for one have many physical indications of autism such as a curved back, skin sensitivity, etc.. I'm also very thin - is this considered a common trait for those on the spectrum? I feel like it is, but I'm not sure why exactly. I feel a general numbness in my body often times. I just feel like we could make some progress in alleviating some of our challenges if we took a whole body approach to understanding our differences.

I was unaware that having a curved back was an indication of autism.

I'm not sure about the mechanism involved with hypersensitivity of the skin, I don't see why that couldn't be all in the brain but then I'm fairly ignorant of such things.

I wonder if you believe that you have some insight gained through your whole body approach? You don't seem to have said so.
