Hi there,

I'm 60, newly diagnosed, and am usually a professional lurker on forums. So the whole "introduce yourself" is, like, scary. Also, "how?"

My interests kind of nosedived during the lengthy burnout leading to my diagnosis, but currently include my dog (daschund/beagle mix),
video games (Stardew Valley atm), and YouTube random deep dives (largely "first time viewing" reactions to fave movies/tv shows).
I'm also a fiction writer when my brain is cooperative.

Looking for community, as well as some practical tidbits for life on the spectrum.

Hi. Another fossil here (65). I've got a few fiction books out there as well. And less than a year since diagnosis. So possibly some commonalities there.

Welcome

Hello and welcome! I hope you enjoy it here. Please let us know if you need any help figuring things out.

Hi, I am new and newly diagnosed too. I'm 50 and I like writing, too. I'm not so good in the fiction department though. Not yet, anyway.

Hi, nice to see other 50+'s here. I focused on non fiction writing for years before getting bit by the storytelling bug.

I've mainly been a songwriter/poet/ with some automatic writing and journalling thrown in. I did do a couple of creative writing units at uni and was told I should write a memoir as "it sounds like you've had a really interesting life".
I really want to get some of my "automatic writing" published, in the form of a card set with booklet and maybe a follow up book on the theme, which I coined as "Spiritual Herbology".
What sorts of genres do you like writing in?

Ooh, "spiritual herbology" sounds intriguing. I hope you get your stuff pubbed!

I dabbled in humor essays for a while, then short stories and novels. Mostly romance.
