Hey everyone ,
I was officially diagnosed last year at the tender age of 65 and ironically , it was the first thing that actually made sense to me after all those years . At first I was just pissed that I wasn't diagnosed earlier and gotten the help that I needed but now I am learning to embrace my difficulties , in fact , they help me heal and grow . I look forward to getting to know you .
Peace , LateBloomer

Welcome to the Forums! I hope you make new friends and enjoy your stay in the process! :)

Many people here are also "late bloomers" and have had the same relevation as yourself; "so that's why I seemed so different from everyone else when I was growing up"

We also have other older folks here, so you'll fit in just fine and hopefully not feel so alone age group wise :)

Hi LateBloomer

welcome to af.webp

Thanks everyone , like I said , I like it here already , which is more than I can say for another well know autism forum . I like your rules , no politics unrelated to autism , no religion discussions and no personal attacks .

Hi Latebloomer and welcome. Many of us share your late diagnosis and can relate. Glad you like it here - it's a nice place to be.

Welcome, both my husband and myself describe ourselves as late bloomers:) It seems to have taken us longer to do everything.
