Hello my name is Elisabeth. I have been officially diagnosed with aspergers. Sorry for my english btw it is not my first language.

I have always struggled with making and keeping friends. For me friendship have always been something i have not understood how people have managed to make so easily. I feel every contact i have with someone whatever they are friends/ boyfriends just end up drifting apart. I now do not have any friends at all, but it is not too bad either, because i am very introverted and i like spending time doing the things i like to do, but sometimes i wish i had someone to talk to.

I struggle with eye contact and appearing confident in conversations. I feel i always look so shy and so low in confidence.

My hobbies are anime/ video games and i also spend a lot of time going to the gym (pretty much every day) I enjoy life i just do not understand the social part of it and how to make friends, how to keep a conversation going etc...

This is me hello! :)

Hello there and welcome to the greatest forum online to date.

If you have not mentioned that English was not your first language, I would not have known, since your spelling is spot on ie absolutely no spelling mistakes. I am English and get stuck with the vowels lol

Well, based on your profile of what an aspie is, despite me not being fully diagnised, I am pretty sure that when I get seen next month, they will say I have aspergers.

My husband says that I do not have trouble making friends ( beg to disagree), I just seem to have no idea to keep friends.

At the wonderful ( sarcasm) again of 47, I still miss the mark on friendships and what I deem as normal to say, is taken as inappropriate, which is downright confusing.

I love the idea of video games, but stay away from them, because of getting obsessed.

Trying to socialise with NT's is hard work and I am only too pleased to be on my own, doing my own thing and hate it when I am interrupted.

Well hello... and a huge welcome too....
I'm NT (there's a few of us here...) my partner is an Aspie and my son (no relation to him ) is too (he's 18yrs)
:)
