New Life

After a long ( 60 + ) life of anxiety ridden unhappy confusion I have landed here with a global explanation of who I am. For me the enlightenment has been liberating, I can stop thinking about who I think I should be and start just being who I am, flaws and all. I really don't know where to begin. As fits with the profile, friends have been few and far between, love life hollow and unsatisfying, ( I guess you could say that about life in general ). Just want to see if a place like this could be s kind of connection - so here goes.

Welcome aboard :)

Oh man...do I know what you mean. I didn't stumble onto this until my mid fifties. Seriously Bob, you have come to the right place to begin this new "voyage". Welcome to AC!

I also am on the wrong side of 60 and am another one on the spectrum who found contentment and serenity upon receiving my diagnosis.

Welcome Bob.

I'm for more Bobs also! Welcome.

Gentlemen, I'm advised that sixty is the new fifty, and may we all grow enlightened together! My diagnosis set me free from solving a couple of the wrong problems, and now I'm practicing being silly, and trying to laugh more. I have a lot of time to make up for being grimly set on 'fixing' whatever was wrong with me...and AS turns out to be a real thing, not a wrong thing.

So, a thousand times welcome, and I look forward to seeing you around the forum. Cheers!
