Hi guys,
Time to upgrade my mobile phone. Looking for some feedback on a prospective replacement. Keeping in mind, I do pretty much everything from my phone. Anything other than an Iphone. I use to be up on this stuff but phone technology dates so quickly. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

What carrier? Nexus 5 is pretty cool.

Well, I've only used Samsungs and iPhones, so can only compare the two.

Both are good phones for different reasons; iPhones are best if you have other apple devices, as you can sync all your information on all devices. Samsung is similar in it's functionality, and has a few features that iPhones don't, though people who go from iPhone to Samsung have mixed feelings; some end up reverting to the iPhone once again, and some after content to keep on using the samsung.

Personally I'd go an iPhone simply for the ability to sync calendars on all my devices; including my PC. This is important for me, as I have a bad memory for plans I've made, haha :P

I'm a bit biased since I've pretty much nothing but Nokia phones all my life. Except for my first one, but that was over 15 years ago, lol.

I'm quite content with my Nokia Lumia 1020. Granted windows phone isn't a widely supported mobile OS, it probably will be in the future.

Any special features or functionality you want out of your phone? Since that might help out a bit as well.

Telstra is the carrier. Ill check the Nexus 5 out. Cheers
And yeah Vanilla, I was heading down the Samsung path but just thought, hey why not ask the crew.
Im not a huge fan of iphone, it doesnt play well with others. Apple kinda annoy me with all their conditions, but then again maybe thats just me

I have a Galaxy S4 right now. It feels really cheaply made but is a nice phone performance wise.

I had a samsung for quite a few years. I don't know about the newer ones, but the old ones had poor battery life; as in you would have to buy a new battery to replace the old one after about a year. The battery can be removed easily, so it's not too technical, but when I went to a store that sells only batteries, the manager there told me samsung phones are the most popular battery sales they have, as opposed to other phones.

If you're unsure, I'd look up reviews for the new Samsung first. In saying that, my Samsung has been rather good to me otherwise :)

As per your question Oni, my phone is my mobile office. Word docs, youtube, music, emailing, trolling forums etc
I do use wifi a fair bit to so strong wifi signal would be a plus. As for battery life, obviously the longer the better, but as screen size increases, battery life shortens. I do take quite a few pics as well, so camera quality would be another want
