I,m new on here and am wondering. It looks as if this forum is mostly for people who are on the spectrum. I am a nanny and am looking for a support group where I can get information, share ideas... Etc?

Hi!
I'm sorry, but we might not have much discussion about toddlers in the spectrum, and unfortunately I can't suggest any other sited for that, maybe someone else could. But I wish you welcomed if you ever feel the need to read more about personal experiences or anyone in here.

Hello Nawnie,
I have heard many others say that the best information they found were first hand accounts. It may be helpful to include this as part of your overall strategy. In any case, welcome and if there is anything that we, or I can do to be of assistance, just ask.
Good luck.

Welcome here. Honestly you can ask a lot of questions there are a lot of people here who yes are on the spectrum but are also parents too or are parents of children and themsleves are on the spectrum. I wish you luck in finding the answers you seek.

Welcome here. I don't have much experience with children myself (they tire me) so I don't think I can help you much personally. However I do know what it's like to have autism so if you have any questions about that, feel free to ask. I also have read a number of books and articles on autism, including a bit of information on children.

Hi i teach autistic students and i love the age range is 5/19year old and i have aspergers so feel free to ask me any questions

Thanks you for your input. This is all new to me and at times can be a little overwhelming. I have no formal training on how to deal with his differences so we just take things one day at a time. Some days are more challenging than others. I have been reading the different threads and find it very intreging most of you do multitask and my lil charge seems to do it so well. It's nothing for him to be at the table with his tablet his trains and a book. His therapist of course discourages this. So it's not often that we indulge him.
