Nonsense Thread.

I often want to post something and contribute but I feel I don’t always have something intelligent to contribute.

Anyhow it’s been raining here for three days now, and good morning.

I feel that way an awful lot and it is a huge relief when I get a response that says I am intelligent and clever with what I said lol

It is midday where I live and surprisingly, very little rain is here and temperatures are pretty surpurb for a September.

St John's wort is supposed to calm you down and supposedly it can be used in place of an antidepressant, but it has the opposite effect on me - it just makes me restless and hyper, like I got instant ADHD or something. (yeah I know, there's more to ADHD than that).

I’m 41 and was second to the youngest this weekend. The old guys are fast. It seems the younger people don’t like motorcycles anymore.

There is an expression in the German language, einmal ist keinmal. It literally means, one time is never. It is used to mean that it's ok to make a mistake, because if the mistake happens just one time, it is of no consequence and really doesn't matter. But I really can't get my head round this - the sentence is a paradox and a complete contradiction of terms... it's like a thing denying it's very existence... if something is once, it means that it exists and it can't undo itself and not exist... also, the idea that something can be of no importance because it only occurs once is nonsense... there is only one planet currently known to harbour life. The Earth is unique, einmal. Does that mean that it shoul have no importance? To me, that fact that something can exist if even just once is of huge significance.

When someone says, "I think not" in conversation, I try to slip in a "therefore..." immediately afterward. So far, no one has disproved themselves and disappeared in a puff of logic.

I guess I've used these lines at home enough. This weekend, my son said, "I think Mom's home." I said, "Therefore..." and he immediately exclaimed, "I am Mom's home!"

That's disappointing. A watch is something you really want to physically handle and try on before you buy it. I don't know if I'd ever buy a watch online.
