I'm a cat, so a short attention span goes with the territory. But yes, it slows down my projects and completion of tasks. I can balance it with my ability to focus, if I can sit still long enough. But

i feel like i have this tendency to hyper focus and lose my attention on things. so if i need to clean my room, i'll end up exercising for 1.5 hours. then it is very hard for me to break away. but i cannot sit still. i cannot NOT be moving.

My cat will sit all night long by a slice of kitchen space if he thinks there is a mouse afoot. Seriously, you cats have some serious attention span! :-)

I have a short attention span with things I hate doing, but with things I love to do, no issue at all.

But, saying that, I have learned that procrastination is counterproductive. Because, tomorrow ALWAYS arrives, so why not just do it at that moment and then, you can feel really good about it and I live by that rule now, for things I hate, but are necessary to do.

I also make a mental list and mentally tick off things, once they have been done and push myself to add things to my routine, which helps to get things sorted.
