Obsessed with watching/doing certain "small" processes of things

What I mean is stuff like opening packs of football cards, pulling collectibles from gachapon machines you find at the grocery store, sometimes I like to watch people cook on YouTube, things of that nature.

I just find it so entertaining to watch someone do something that has a "process" to it like my previously-discussed obsession with collectible cards, you open a pack, leaf through it and see if you got any rares or legendaries.

Then another one, and then another one, or maybe it's not cards maybe it's figurines or something.

What do you guys collect?

Love people cooking food particularly street vendors in Korea making heavenly combos on youtube. Sometimes l watch cakes with extreme decorations.

Yes, I collect music in digital and physical formats, and I like getting the packet, opening it, taking out the item, unwrapping it, looking inside at the artwork and lyrics, and then listening to it. I don't get quite the same satisfaction out of digital downloads, but still get the pleasure of listening to new music.

Indian artifacts including arrowheads, knives, mortars and pestles, beads, axe heads and all kinds of tools. They're all over our land and surrounding areas.

Marine fossils including shark teeth and coral. Much of the southern US is ancient seafloor; the hills are actually sand dunes covered with soil; and there are huge deposits of gravel, which are remnants of the Adirondack and Smokey Mountains and contain many fossils including petrified wood.

Sea glass, polished smooth by water and sand on beaches.

Antique marbles which I find at estate and yard sales.

I like watching people cook as well. Something I've gotten into is cooking ASMR with no speaking (so its just the sound of eggs cracking, sizzling pans, etc). Cake decoration and macaron baking videos have also been a favourite. I find it very comforting.

I used to collect rocks- crystals in particular but it got pretty expensive, so its been a while since I added one to my collection, lol.

Did it for a period of time now I'm on music reaction videos, beings with the label animal or fish and p.o.box openings

I collect wise and witty observations. Of course the Bible has all the best material, but my collection is from other sources. (Check Washington's farewell address re: political parties; easily more insightful than the fine Eisenhower re: military-industrial complex.)

Eligible selections will make an entire case/observation in a paragraph or less, and illuminate underlying mechanics which are usually overlooked. Then I print them up in appropriate style and display them where they will often get my attention.
