Jccc College is on lockdown someone a woman they said has a shotgun I'm under the sink in the bathroom with one other woman lights are out its made national news I'm scared

Watching KSHB's live broadcast as things are unfolding there...multiple reports of a female suspect on campus with a weapon. 5 foot 6 with short dark hair.

No, stay hidden. I don't think it makes a difference that the alleged shotgun wielder is apparently female. You'd be in trouble if spotted no matter which room you're in.

Live police broadcast says stay where you are...they are coming to get people. They have not found anyone meeting this description at this time...now saying white female 5'10 with dark brown ponytail and khaki pants carrying camouflage bag and "long gun".

Some buildings have yet to be cleared. Police saying they have specifically trained for such scenarios.

No gunshots reported on live real-time broadcast, Angie. Students are leaving the campus in a rather casual manner to be honest. Media saying it's a good sign. They are finding and releasing people....just hang on until they get there . It's going to be ok.

I don't know, but the police are clearing buildings now and students are leaving.

Local media is now beginning to wonder if this may be a hoax. Possible...nothing confirmed at this time. Lockdown at the adjacent St. Thomas Aquinas High School may have ended.

Media in conjunction with the police talking about how well everything has gone. This may be a great example of people doing all the right things in such an emergency. Well done!

Latest message: Remain in place until police get there...be patient per latest JCCC messages. They're clearing building by building....the High School is officially no longer under lockdown. Another good sign.

Local media now saying there was only one actual call about this suspect. Citing that under the circumstances multiple calls would likely ensue if this was a real incident. Buildings still being methodically evacuated by police.
