My latest and greatest: Bluetooth speaker. 6 inches tall. Bamboo and copper. Maybe 50 hours invested. I built it for my wife on our anniversary. We were broke, so it was built from 90% spare parts.

Art can be anything. Just post a picture and tell us what it means to you!

Wow, that’s a really unique looking and cool speaker!! I would definitely buy something like that!

How is the bass response with the bamboo ? I am curious
It sounds absolutely amazing. Bluetooth doesn’t carry bass very well. Especially because it’s always a compressed format, But good bass starts with a high-quality speaker, strength in the walls, and ends with good old fashioned weight. This thing has a very heavy battery pack, bamboo is unbelievable rigid, and the driver is an old Infinity speaker for a car. It sounds better than any Bose bluetooth I’ve ever listened to. And it fills the room with music that almost sounds like a good surround-sound.

I’d love to say that I planned it that way, but it was one of those projects that started with an idea in my head. Nothing planned out. I just made it up as I went along. The copper trim was an afterthought, to cover up my mistakes in cutting the bamboo.

Every time I bring it out with me somewhere, someone asks me to sell it to them. And some folks are pushy.

I dream that I could quit my job and make money with my ‘art’ projects. My home is full of one-of-a-kind creations like this one.

Sounds like it works great ! I am the same I have so many Dyi things laying around the house or things I made for my music studio . That was a great idea with the car speaker!

It looks professional… until you flip it over. That’s where the DIY part really comes out!

I posted this in a status update, but I realized that those are often overlooked because they move too fast since people post them frequently.

My latest digital painting

It takes me a couple of hours to make these flower crowns, since I basically have to “sew” them, so I don’t make them often. But I made this one yesterday.

And some pottery I made yesterday, and painted tonight:

Mine's not nearly as cool as all of yours, but I spent all day drawing these monster creatures so I could make a little space shooter out of them, lol. I ran into a few problems with the 'engine' I was using (it's not equipped for this!) so I'm going to have to port it over to another one, but at least it's a start!
