Potty training 3.5 with Aspergers

My 3.5 year is resisting being potty trained. I would really love to get my girl out of pull up and using the toilet. Shes "too comfotable" with just going in a nappy so I feel like she sees no reason to change her potty routine. Its frustrating and I have tried a lot of different methods. What has worked (& not worked) for you?? PLEASE AND THANK YOU!
 
Try having this problem with a 5 year old! He understands what the toilet is for, but will not use it. I'm tempted to just put him in underwear anyway and let him be uncomfortable for a while before cleaning him up. Unfortunately, I don't have hardwood floors in every room yet, and the weather is getting too cool to confine this activity to outdoors. Basically, I feel your pain, but I don't have a good suggestion.
 
I'm not sure what magically did it to eventually potty train my daughter, but one day she just did it. She was about 4. I kept pushing and pushing it and she wasn't really resistant and angry about it, she just didn't want to. Then one day, she went, wiped herself, and went on her way, so obviously she knew what to do. This was years before I even knew she was autistic or even know what it was. I just thought she was stubborn. Now I feel awful for pushing so hard. After that period, I had to keep reminding. She's 6.5 now, and I still have to remind her because otherwise she'd wet herself half of the time. I'm sorry I don't have any solid advice. I know how frustrating it is though!
