Product Advertisements that You Dislike

You know, that one lady we met that one time.

Is there an advertisement for a really bad product?

Maybe just the way it is advertised turns you off?

Or maybe you don't know what it is, but it just gets your aspie hackles all in a mess?

Let's share, and have a good laugh.

I saw these shoes while shopping for shoes for my daughter.

I call them, "Pick a theme already".

They are made by Nike but they look like horrid Chinese knockoffs.

Don't they look like fake Nikes? The swoosh alone looks like it was cut out from a pair of pajama pants, and hot glued on to the side.

And the fabric the shoes are made from looks like a diaper was stitched onto a mattress pad.

Humor is almost universally applied to insurance advertising.

It might be entertaining to viewers, but such advertising says little to nothing about the actual product, or whether or not it's competitively priced.

Perhaps off-putting and unlikable, yet...satisfying.

Plus I get to ask my teenagers rather loudly in the grocery store: "Do you like Cheesey Balls?"

I really dislike this one, and others like it. I don't like the implication "Oh just take some paracetamol and decongestant and you are basically fine, now no excuses and get back to work you lazy so and so!"

I think I hate almost every advertisement.

That's understandable. For me, I like them if they're charming or funny, even if what they show isn't considered "correct" by today's standards.
An example for me is the PG Tips adverts with the Chimps; they're not the kind of thing you could do now but I did enjoy the wholesomeness of them.

Imagine being in charge of creating obnoxious advertising banners yet having similar sentiments. The one part of web design I didn't like aside from so many bandwidth considerations around the turn of the century.

Me too! As far as most on the TV go. The thing I find most irritating is that it seems that a not insignificant amount of the population seem to be A: Entirely educated by TV commercials or B: Think they are living in one.

Advertisement which include [crunching sounds to represent someone eating] make me want to blow up the planet in a fit of rage.

I think I posted about this elsewhere, but I hate that sort of thing too. Over blown staged, or faked sound (otherwise known as Foley) drives me mad. They do it a lot on commercials, for example, quick snippets of the sounds of flames, chop chop sounds, etc. It's the exaggerated sounds but also I guess hearing them in such a artificial way. I can't quite put it into words but I find it absolutely horrid!

All advertisements get my hackles up, which is why I use an adblocker on my browser and never watch TV. Bye bye ads. I hate the way just about everything is exploited for advertising purposes.

All of the Spectrum One ads.
The one with the Rappers singing is very long and gets boring fast.
The music isn't bad, but it's not a good production for an ad.
You listen to the music and forget what the product is.

I don't like Spectrum anyway. Everything they have is waaaay overpriced.
And try to get tech support. In person or phone.
But it is the company that comes with the house I rent in, so I use it.

I hated the iPhone one. I forgot which phone it was, but I’ll link it. I liked the memes that came out of it more, so I’ll link that instead. I didn’t like the music they chose for the advertisement. I only like the music while watching beautiful disasters.

I can’t stand ads from a certain insurance company and even seeing or saying the name of said company infuriates me, I really hate the shout outs to Raid Shadow Legends in YouTube videos as that game seems so boring to me that I would never download it, ads for athlete’s foot medication on YouTube I find insulting as I keep getting them even though I never go barefoot in places that are breeding grounds for the disease and my feet are always clean, I find the Charmin ads offensive, and I really hate the new Pepsi ad that mentions NFL teams.
