Depends on the nature of the sticker. Was it something like "I am a fellow police officer and the driver is my son?" Or more like "The driver of this car has medical conditions which may need special attention in case of an accident." The first I disapprove of, the second may be a good idea. It was brought up a few weeks ago that we ought to have some sort of "secret" badge or sign so we can identify each other.Saw a news story recently. That a police officer got a sticker made for her sons car. To alert police in case of an accident. I think this is a good idea. Thoughts?
Stickers or clings alerting police to special needs aren't exactly uncommon or new.
O’Fallon MO police gives free stickers to keep people with special needs safe during emergencies
Southfield police offer autism awareness stickers for homes, cars
New law helps alert police to presence of someone with autism

Do you have a link to the particular story you saw?
You could also get an autism medical alert wallet card. If they ask for your license you could hand them the medical alert card as well. This is a great idea. I'm often scared of police interactions, and have been known to freeze when confronted by cops. I'm gonna put a sticker on my car so hopefully interactions go a little more smoothly should I get pulled over again! Now, do I like the idea of everyone who sees me in my car knowing my Dx? Not sure, but I think the benefits outweigh the negatives.
