Quake 3 Phase (Again)

I started playing Quake 3 like games again such as Quake Live, Openarena, and Quake Champions. My favorite gamemode is duel. No other game gets me thinking so hard, maybe besides Go. I wish more people played because truly these games are the best competitive shooters ever made.

I just started playing Quake III again myself, having gotten my "legacy computer" up and running offline again with Windows XP. Though I've had Open Arena on my Linux system since I first installed Linux Mint.

One of the very few games I can play in my much older monitor's native resolution of 1280 x1024 pixels.

This type of game always looks kind of fun, but in my case I dont have a viable mouse (I use a vertical mouse), and even if I did, I cant aim worth a fart anyway.

Like I see everyone being like, okay, this guy is dropping from the ceiling at Mach 2 while doing backflips, going to put a bullet perfectly up his left nostril.

While I'm like... "okay... point gun at enemy... look just hold still for 2 full minutes would you, I might graze your ear then... " *bang* "okay how did I manage to miss the entire map, that doesnt even make sense."

Like I can play the older Doom games, or maybe something like Hexen, crank the difficulty all the way up, because those are really about dodging rather than shooting. Fits my skillset. But any other type of FPS at all, never got anywhere in anything.
